The International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF)

The need for the IKMF originally arose in the early 1990’s, when the teaching of Krav Maga (KM) was starting to spread beyond the borders of Israel. At that time the initial KM Association was divided and not functioning efficiently due to dissension amongst the higher graded instructors. As a result, Imi (the founder of Krav Maga) asked Eyal Yanilov, and the chief instructor of Krav-Maga, to assist him in forming a new International KM Federation.

Krav Maga Alliance

Krav Maga Alliance is composed of Krav Maga schools, instructors, and students dedicated to improving themselves and each other through realistic training and the continuous exchange of ideas. We have affiliates all over the world, from Australia to Italy.

We provide training, certification, and ongoing to support in all aspects of Krav Maga training. We provide curricula, lesson plans, and monthly updates with new training drills and scenarios.

The Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA)

The Israeli Krav Maga Association was formed by Imi Lichtenfeld ( Sde-Or ) and a group of his students on Oct 22, 1978. The expressed purpose of the Association was to create a public civilian organizational structure to support practitioners of the Israeli Krav Maga.

Krav Maga Worldwide (KMWW)

In January of 1999, Darren Levine and several of the organizing members of Krav Maga formed Krav Maga Worldwide Enterprises to help the Krav Maga Association of America, Inc. expand and promote Krav Maga in The United States and around the world. Continuing demand from law enforcement agents and civilians prompted Darren Levine and his top students to open the Krav Maga National Training Center, a 6000 square foot facility in west Los Angeles.

Krav Maga Federation schools produce the highest caliber instructors who adhere to the most stringent standards of teaching and training. In a time when unqualified practitioners dilute the style for financial gain and recognition, this is crucial. The instructors of the Krav Maga Federation share a commitment to the true art of Krav Maga: to properly educate fighters and to respect what the art represents to the State of Israel and its people. KMF remains true to the principles of Krav Maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld, which include following a belted system whereby new material and new techniques separate ranks from White through Black Belt.

Israeli Krav International (IKI)

Israeli Krav International aims to spread authentic, up to date, practical Krav Maga. We want it to be accessible to those who need it.

They aim to recruit men and women of the highest character to learn and teach this system.

Our style is open to all; regardless of location, nationality or faith.

Their aim to provide the best service and support at the lowest cost. They do not believe in long term legal contracts, franchise agreements or any other sort of written obligations. IKI Krav techniques are constantly being evaluated and upgraded. Full contact training, and lessons drawn from real life cases, form the basis of our constant reevaluation. This keeps IKI on the cutting edge of reality training. "We are innovators, not imitators."

Besides legitimizing the practice of Krav Maga in South America, the job of the South American Federation of Krav Maga is basically to protect the technical and philosophical purity of the art as it was created, maintaining the integrity and fidelity of Imi's work. It is also, to supervise the teaching of Krav Maga, continuously train instructors respecting the ethical code of quality and excellence of the Krav Maga practice, divulge and develop the art with all the responsibility that working with self-defense requires. All of this results in a level of commitment of its practitioners that joins them all as a family.
