IKI star of David logoIsraeli Krav International (IKI)

Israeli Krav International aims to spread authentic, up to date, practical Krav Maga. We want it to be accessible to those who need it.

They aim to recruit men and women of the highest character to learn and teach this system.

Our style is open to all; regardless of location, nationality or faith.

Their aim to provide the best service and support at the lowest cost. They do not believe in long term legal contracts, franchise agreements or any other sort of written obligations. IKI Krav techniques are constantly being evaluated and upgraded. Full contact training, and lessons drawn from real life cases, form the basis of our constant reevaluation. This keeps IKI on the cutting edge of reality training. "We are innovators, not imitators."

IKI's krav maga students include men and women of all ages and from all over the world; North American college students, American law enforcement, US Air Force, ROTC and Special Forces, Israeli police officers and front line soldiers, security personnel from Holland to Ukraine. We have students and branches in the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Many of our students are currently serving in the Israeli army as front line troops, tank commanders and combat instructors.

Head Instructor

Moshe Katz martial arts training began sometime in the 1980's when he was a yeshiva student (Rabbinical college) in Jerusalem. Rabbi Meir Kahane tried to encourage him to learn martial arts but he needed a little push. That push came from my sister in law Michelle who had just seen "The Karate Kid".

He was hooked on Mr. Miyagi, so he signed up for lessons in Shurin ryu Karate with an instructor named Chaim Jaffe. When he returned to New York he trained for two years in the full contact style of Kyokushin Karate with Saiko Shihan Shigeru Oyama. Those were great times. After three months he had his first visit to the hospital. The occasion was a round house kick to my nose.

He returned to Israel after being graduated from Baruch business school, and began looking for a place to train. After spending a few months in Shotokan Karate a friend suggested he check out Itay Gil.

During his yearly visits back to the USA he would trained for a month at the Oyama dojo, the name being changed to World Oyama Karate where he trained in Wing Chun kung fu with Sifu Chun Kwok Chow. He also did some brief training with other great instructors such as David James of Vee Arnis Jujitsu, Alex Sternberg, Sifu Maurice Llewellyn (Wing Chun) and Rodrigo Gracie.

In 2002 he attended Karate College training camp and continue to attend each year for four years. There he trained with some of the greatest instructors around today. One instructor who he have continues to train with is Professor Arthur Cohen .

Professor Cohen has taken him to a new level beyond technique. Besides his outstanding applications of techniques for street situations, he has opened my mind to psychological aspects of self defense, environmental factors and the sociology of crime. He certified me as a Control Points instructor.

I continue to train at every possible opportunity. I am very fortunate to have Itay Gil here in Jerusalem, always happy to help me with a gun disarm, knife release or choke escape.

Moshe has taught members of the FBI, SWAT teams, Sheriffs Departments, State Police, Israeli and American soldiers, Canadian Royal Mounted police and Path Finders, Ukrainian Elite Guards, German Navy Commandoes, Dutch Security professionals, Israeli Elite Guards, The Guardian Angels, women's self defense groups, civilians and school children of all ages.
