 Since the passing of Krav Maga’s founder Imi Lichtenfeld, Krav Maga has spread around the world to be one of the most popular reality self defense systems today. Due to this popularity, there has been a number of Krav Maga organizations created to help spread Imi Lichtenfeld’s vision of Krav Maga. These organizations include; The International Krav Maga Federation, Krav Maga Worldwide, Israeli Krav Maga Association, Tactical Krav Maga, South American Federation Krav Maga.

The International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) TThe need for the IKMF originally arose in the early 1990’s, when the teaching of Krav Maga (KM) was starting to spread beyond the borders of Israel. At that time the initial KM Association was divided and not functioning efficiently due to dissension amongst the higher graded instructors. As a result, Imi (the founder of Krav Maga) asked Eyal Yanilov, his closest assistant, and the chief instructor of Krav-Maga, to assist him in forming a new International KM Federation. The formation of this new organization was delayed till after the initial Association broke apart in 1995. |

The Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA)  The Israeli Krav Maga Association was formed by Imi Lichtenfeld ( Sde-Or ) and a group of his students on Oct 22, 1978. The expressed purpose of the Association was to create a public civilian organizational structure to support practitioners of the Israeli Krav Maga. |

Krav Maga Worldwide (KMWW) In January of 1999, Darren Levine and several of the organizing members of Krav Maga formed Krav Maga Worldwide Enterprises to help the Krav Maga Association of America, Inc. expand and promote Krav Maga in The United States and around the world. Continuing demand from law enforcement agents and civilians prompted Darren Levine and his top students to open the Krav Maga National Training Center, a 6000 square foot facility in west Los Angeles. |
